I listened to “Altogether” from Souvlaki yesterday and noticed some stylistic similarities, one being the middle break where Neil sings, “I’m soooo tiiirerd” and the drum beat. I’ve noticed a pattern of repetition in Slowdive’s musical ideas, and I love it! Bless this band.

This song was my warm blanket when I was a functioning addict for a number of years. I’m straight now, but listening to this takes back to another life. Strange still being here, married with kids. A far cry from being suicidal staring off a bridge. Don’t take life for granted, even when you’re depressed, it’s only temporary and will pass. Enjoy your youth, you’re only a did for the first 20 years and an adult for the next 60 years.

You can simply tell it's a vine break up song. it's so pure you can hardly call it a break up song. it's more like a "separation". In July 2021 i moved to canada from middle east to star a new chapter in my life. i had to. my girlfriend, m, legally couldn't come with me. i left her. we both didn't know what will happen next. i just hoped that she could get a visa. finally, after 4 months we broke up on the phone. right after we hung up, i realized how much i truely missed her. i broke down to tears right on the sidewalk. i was thinking about her after a year later. missed her. i still do. i found this song at those days. it was a really hard time in my life. i gained 36 pounds, and i was having lots of issues. all i could do was to smoke a lot of weed at night after work, getting very high just to let go of everything, listening to this song and thinking about her 'til i pass out. fortunately, today, after 3 years, i'm in a much better place in my life. physically and mentally. i think i've started to forget about her. if there's one thing i can tell you, it's that, whatever you're going through right now, it will get better. in time. but sometimes i think no matter how succesful and happy we become, we will always feel lost in this world. because that's how we all are. there's always something missing. chasing ghosts in a foggy storm. sleep if more than just a song. it's a part of our life. where nothing is real and we lose ourselves to dreams. yeah, we kissed, goodbye, and i never saw her again. i loved you. you were an angel. my girl. my love. all these days, years, i dreamed. dream, dream away from you... the first time i heard this song i was 19. i hope you all have a good life.

i discovered this song when i was 14, im 16 now and i still come back to this wonderful song, i always scrolled down the comments to see the things people would post to this song. it’s amazing how many people come and listen to this song over and over again. wether you are struggling or having the best time of your life this song is one of the songs you can listen too and feel free. i can’t lie i forgot about this song for a while but it instantly came back to me and i just had to listen to it again, i hope that everybody is doing well and that whatever you’re going through it always gets better, you’re important and amazing and keep listening to slowdive ❤️.

Just turned 20 last month and i realize I have 10 more years on becoming 30 . I don't want to grow up i feel sad now because everything just feels different all u can think about is money and relationship.. I love you slow dive i will always listen to ur music until i get older. Thanks to the guy who recommend this song to me.

Too bad the vocals are mixed down to 0. Wait, i hear something like a female breathing in the background. Oh wait, there's somekind of vocal in there, too bad it's drenched in reverb which makes the vocals and the lyrics indistinguishable. But yeah, the backing track is a nice chord loop.
